Fried Shark Sandwiches have become a popular island delicacy in Trinidad and Tobago over the last few decades. They can be found at selective food stalls throughout the island, mainly at beaches and resorts alike. These sandwiches consist of a fried dough will fillets of lightly breaded fried shark, with an array of seasonings such as cilantro, chadon beni, garlic, pimentos, etc., and well marinated and served with pineapples, green onions and more, and then topped off with homemade sauces such as white garlic sauce, spicy hot pepper sauce, chadon beni sauce, tamarind sauce, etc. They are a must try!
